Many years ago I followed a boy (now husband of 24 years) from my home in Perth, Western Australia on a new adventure to Canada and shortly thereafter, moved to this iconic mountain town in the Rockies. Since 1998 Fernie has been my home and I have spent the past many years waking every day, thankful for not only this beautiful valley, but the amazing community that make this truly one of the most special places to live.
Like many of my fellow Fernie-transplants I moved to Fernie for the snow and as most quintessential ski-bums I worked in hospitality and tourism for much of my early time here in Fernie. Managing and operating a backcountry cat-skiing lodge with my husband for many of those years, taught me not only the meaning and reward of long hours and hard work but fostered a deep desire in me to make people happy. Prior to taking my Realtor® license I had the great fortune to work for three years as an un-licensed assistant to a top producing Realtor® here in Fernie, learning all the ins and outs of the trade. I continue to be inspired by this exceptional young woman.
When not working hard for my clients you’ll find me out on the trails hiking/biking a mountain or skiing steep lines trying to catch my teenage kids, choking on their cold-smoke. I love an early morning yoga class to stimulate the senses or a coffee with friends at our fav downtown spot. I train hard with my roller derby teammates, who after 7 years have become family. I am tireless in doing what I love, including my job.
